In the recent years swine flu has emerged as an epidemic and has affected the life of millions of people all over the world. In the year 2009 a large number of population was under the effect of a possible lethal pandemic which we know as swine flu. Unlike previous pandemics, this time the affected area has increased and starting from American continent the virus has affected some of the European and Asian countries. The surprising fact is not that the flu spread accross nation and continents, it the time that this virus has taken to spread across. In barely few months after origin swine flu had affected many in different geographic locations.

The striking rate of swine flu also makes it bad as it is so fast that a person becomes a carrier and spreads the virus to others before any tangible symptoms are observed by anyone. Swine flu is also considered bad because there is no vaccine for curing or stopping this disease.

Scientists are researcing to get an appropriate medicine or a satisfactory vaccie against swine flu. At present the antiviral medicines which are used for prevention against swine flu give rise to some side effects such as rashes on the skin, swelling, redness, tenderness etc, moreover these medicines are not capable of dealing with severe swine flu attacks. The other point is, often the production of these vaccines during flu season are less than the demand. The outcome of this shortage is lot of people don’t get it in time and become victim of swine flu viruses.

To know why is swine flu so bad one can also consider the symptoms of swine flu which are similar to the common seasonal flu hence people do not take these symptoms seriously before it,s too late. Some of the common symptoms of swine flu are headache, long time fever, sore throat, respiratory problems, coughing, sneezing, loss in energy and pain in body. In severe swine flu cases people can suffer from vomiting and dehydration. If having any of the two symptoms one should go to the doctor for complete diagnosis. So people are being given tips to stay protected from the badness of this disease.
